Harold D. Pelton graduated from Benton Senior High School in 1965. Married to PaulaParker-Pelton in 1967, he is a lifelong resident of Saline County. Sibby Pelton-Shoppach came to the Missouri Territory in 1817 and is his G-G-Great Aunt. He is a US Navy Vietnam Veteran. He graduated from UALR in 2000 with a BA in English and a BA in Technical Writing. Joined SCAL in 2018 and started serving as President of the Board in 2019. He is Editor of the SCAL Newsletter and Author of two publishedhistorical fiction novels.
